The Eaton ELSPSTW is a Wheelock Eluxa LED-platform speaker-strobe appliance. Specifically, it is a wall-mount, white-housing combination unit with FIRE lettering and 24 VDC operation. As a result, it covers both audible voice/tone and visual strobe signaling in one device.
First, the speaker produces high-fidelity output across a 300 to 8000 Hz frequency range. Then, the LED strobe flashes at 1 flash per second with a 20 ms pulse duration. Therefore, the ELSPSTW meets the 2016 NFPA 72 requirement to share a field of view with legacy xenon strobes.

The strobe intensity is field selectable across six settings: 15, 30, 75, 110, 135, 185 cd. In addition, the patented LED optical design delivers the industry’s lowest current draw across the full candela range. As a result, more appliances fit on each NAC and fewer power supplies are required.

Audio Output
The speaker accepts 25 or 70 VRMS, field selectable. Also, five wattage taps are field selectable: 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1, and 2 W (5 W on 70 V). Specifically, sound output per UL 1480 at 10 ft runs 75 / 79 / 82 / 85 / 87 dBA across those taps. Furthermore, the unit is listed to UL 464 low-frequency 520 Hz for sleeping-area compliance.
Electrical and Synchronization
The ELSPSTW operates from 16 to 33 VDC or VFWR on the strobe circuit. In addition, the strobe synchronizes via Wheelock DSM Sync Modules, PS Power Supplies, or SAFEPATH products using Wheelock’s patented sync protocol. Therefore, audible silence with continuous strobe is supported when wired through a sync module.
Mounting and Listings
The ELSPSTW ships with a hinged mounting plate. Specifically, mounting options include the ELSPKBB-R/W backbox or 4" square, 2-1/8" deep box. In addition, listings cover UL 1971, UL 1638, UL 1480, CAN/ULC-S526, CAN/ULC-S541, CSFM, FCC, and ICES.
