The EST (3-PPS/M) is the primary power supply module for the EST3 fire alarm chassis. It is required in every EST3 cabinet.
Specifically, the 3-PPS/M converts AC line input into the regulated DC supply that powers the EST3 backplane. As a result, every other EST3 module — CPUs, SLC drivers, audio modules — draws its power from this single source.
