The Farenhyt IDP-MONITOR-2 is an addressable monitor module with two initiating circuits. It acts as an interface to contact devices. Specifically, it monitors two separate Class B circuits. As a result, one module can supervise two independent inputs.
Farenhyt IDP-MONITOR-2 module overview
This module is well suited to waterflow and tamper switch monitoring. For example, it can watch a flow switch on one circuit and a tamper switch on the other. In addition, both circuits use Class B supervised wiring. Therefore, the panel tracks each input by address.
The IDP-MONITOR-2 communicates over the two-wire SLC loop. Also, it integrates with Farenhyt IDP addressable control panels. For example, it works with the IFP-50, IFP-100/ECS, IFP-1000/ECS, and IFP-2000/ECS. This module is UL Listed for fire alarm use.
Typical applications
Use the IDP-MONITOR-2 where two contacts sit near each other. For example, a sprinkler riser often pairs a flow switch with a tamper switch. Finally, the module brings both onto the loop in one device.
