The Mircom FH-400-LF-WW is a white low-frequency sounder for wall or ceiling mount. First, it emits a 520 Hz ± 10% square wave tone. Then the tone satisfies the NFPA 72 requirement for sleeping-area notification. As a result, the FH-400-LF-WW is suitable for hotels, dormitories, and similar occupancies.
Mircom FH-400-LF-WW tones and volume
The sounder offers four field-selectable tones via DIP switches. Specifically, the choices are Temporal 3, Temporal 4, Continuous, and 20 BPM. In addition, two volume levels (high and low) are field-selectable. Therefore, the device adapts to a wide range of room geometries.
Power and synchronization
The unit operates on 24 VDC or VFWR. Furthermore, synchronization is available through MGC protocol or a Mircom MIX-4050 sync module. Also, the sounder supports 12 to 22 AWG wire.
Mounting and listings
The FH-400-LF-WW mounts on single-gang or 4-inch square boxes. However, it is for indoor use only. Finally, agency listings include UL 464, ULC S525, and NFPA 72.
