Fike (55-045) Mini Monitor Module
The Fike (55-045) Mini Monitor Module is an addressable input device for fire alarm systems. It is the non-isolator version of the module. First, it watches a single monitored circuit. Then it reports that circuit’s status by address to the panel.
What it monitors
The module provides one Class B initiating device circuit (IDC). Specifically, it monitors normally open contact devices. These include fire alarm and supervisory or process devices. In addition, it supervises the wiring for open circuits. A 39 kΩ end-of-line resistor is included for this purpose.
Design and compatibility
This is a compact module, measuring 2-3/4" x 1-3/4". As a result, it fits in a small junction box behind the monitored device. A single tri-color LED shows device status. The module operates on 15 to 30 VDC. Furthermore, it works with Fike CyberCat and Cheetah Xi intelligent panels. For full short-circuit isolation, the 55-050 isolator version is available instead.
