The Notifier FW-RM is the SWIFT™ wireless relay module for Notifier addressable fire alarm panels. Specifically, it gives the panel a code-commanded SPDT Form C relay output across a Class A SWIFT wireless mesh network.
What the Notifier FW-RM does on a SWIFT network
First, the FW-RM joins the SWIFT mesh through the FWSG SWIFT gateway. Then, the panel addresses it like any other intelligent module on the SLC. As a result, the panel switches an isolated Form C contact at the remote location.
In addition, the module is commonly used for elevator recall, door holders, and fan shutdown. It also enables a remote power supply when paired with a monitor module. Therefore, technicians extend control to locations where pulling wire is impractical.
