The Honeywell FSL100-UVIR is a combined ultraviolet and infrared flame detector. It senses radiation from a flame across two spectral bands. As a result, it detects fires quickly while rejecting many false sources. Engineers use it in industrial and commercial spaces.
How the Honeywell FSL100-UVIR detects fire
The detector combines UV and IR sensing channels. Furthermore, it analyzes flame-flicker frequency to confirm a real flame. This dual method covers many hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon fires. It alarms within about ten seconds to a small heptane test fire.
Key details
- Combined UV/IR flame detection with flicker-frequency analysis
- Detection range up to 25 m (80 ft) to a 0.1 m² n-heptane fire
- Field of view of at least 90° horizontal and vertical
- Power supply 10–28 VDC (12–24 VDC nominal)
- SPDT alarm and fault relays, 30 VDC, 2 A, 60 W max
- Glass-reinforced polyester housing, self-extinguishing UL94 V-0
- Approvals include FM 3260, FM 3611, and EN 54-10
- Available in red or white housings
Specify the FSL100-UVIR where fast flame detection matters. However, plan the mounting for a clear field of view. Then wire the alarm and fault relays to your panel. Finally, use the built-in test function to verify operation.
