The Siemens HS-MC-R is a multi-candela horn strobe in red (part #500-636070). It provides both audible and visual fire alarm notification. As a result, one appliance covers horn and strobe duties.
This unit belongs to the Siemens Series HS notification line. Furthermore, it uses a 4-wire design. Therefore, the horn and strobe circuits operate separately for flexible control.
Siemens HS-MC-R Horn Settings
The horn offers a continuous tone or a temporal Code 3 pattern. In addition, each tone has three selectable sound levels. Specifically, you can set 90, 95, or 99 dBA (anechoic).
Strobe Settings and Wiring
The MC strobe is field-selectable for candela output. Specifically, you choose 15, 30, 75, or 110 cd. As a result, one model fits many coverage requirements.
Installation is fast with in/out screw terminals. Also, the terminals accept #12 to #18 AWG wire. Confirm panel compatibility before ordering this appliance.
