The KIDDE COMMERCIAL EG4SWF is a wall-mount Genesis LED EG4S Series voice-evacuation speaker. Specifically, it ships with a white housing and the “FIRE” marking.

First, the EG4SWF mounts to the included GRSW room-side wiring plate. Then, the speaker snaps into the plate, simplifying pre-install and pre-wire. Furthermore, a diagnostics check bar confirms electrical continuity before the cover goes on.

In addition, the speaker accepts either 25 VRMS or 70 VRMS audio via a field-selectable switch. As a result, one part number works on both common voice-evac riser voltages.

Sleeping-Area Compliance

First, NFPA 72 requires 520 Hz low-frequency tones in newly-constructed commercial sleeping areas. Then, EG4SWF speakers reproduce a factory-supplied 520 Hz tone when driven by an approved Kidde audio source. Furthermore, set the wattage tap high enough that sound pressure reaches at least 75 dBA at the pillow.
