The Kidde GSA-CC1 is a single-input signal module on the Signature addressable loop. First, it acts as a riser selector for one notification circuit. Then, the loop controller drives the circuit through this module.
In addition, the GSA-CC1 sources power from a separate signal riser. As a result, the module switches a 24 VDC notification circuit or a 25/70 V audio evacuation circuit. Specifically, the personality code at commissioning chooses the function.
How the Kidde GSA-CC1 Works
The GSA-CC1 plugs into a SIGA mounting plate or matching base. Then, field wiring connects the riser source, the outgoing circuit, and end-of-line supervision. Finally, the loop controller addresses the module like any other Signature point.
Furthermore, the personality code is downloaded from the panel during commissioning. As a result, the same module can serve as a Class A or Class B signal output. Also, supervisory monitoring continues whether the circuit is idle or active.
