The Kidde GSA-MM1 Monitor Module is an analog addressable input module for the Signature loop. Specifically, it connects one Class B normally-open dry-contact initiating device circuit to the Signature loop controller. As a result, the panel can supervise non-powered devices through a single addressable point.
Furthermore, the GSA-MM1 occupies one device address on the loop. Then, the loop controller assigns the address automatically — no DIP switches are required.
How the Kidde GSA-MM1 Monitor Module Works
The factory-default personality code 3 configures the module as N/O active, non-latching. As a result, a contact closure generates an active status. However, the status follows the input switch and does not latch at the module.
In addition, diagnostic LEDs indicate module health. Specifically, a flashing green LED signals normal operation, and a flashing red LED signals an active or alarm state.
