Potter / Amseco (DHSBPC) Replacement Door Holder Armature

The Potter/Amseco DHSBPC-1 is a replacement armature for electromagnetic door holder assemblies. The armature is the ferromagnetic catch plate that mates with the door holder’s electromagnet. As a result, it provides the hold-open surface that keeps fire-rated doors open until the fire alarm system releases them.

Over time, the armature face wears or becomes damaged from repeated door slamming. In addition, the magnet may pit the catch plate after years of service. Therefore, replacing only the armature restores normal hold-and-release function without swapping the entire door holder.

What the DHSBPC-1 Replaces

The DHSBPC-1 covers most magnetic door holder bodies that use the standard Potter/Amseco-style catch plate. First, confirm the existing armature mount and stem length.
