The Potter WST is the wireless setup tool for the Potter SignaLink Bridge wireless system. Installers use it to commission and service the wireless network. As a result, setup and troubleshooting go faster in the field.
A wireless fire alarm network depends on strong, clean signals. The WST measures exactly that. Specifically, it reports the strength and quality of communication between Potter wireless devices.
What the Potter WST Does
The tool connects to a Windows PC over USB. From there, it pairs devices and checks battery life. In addition, it adds or removes repeaters as the network grows. It can also switch the receiver between internal and external antennas. Furthermore, it scans the channel for traffic and changes to a clearer one when needed.
