The Protectowire SG-42SK1-1 is a dual-action manual fire alarm pull station. It uses a die-cast metal housing for industrial-grade durability. The dual-action design requires two distinct motions to activate.
First, the user lifts a cover or hinge. Then, the user pulls the lever down. As a result, accidental activation is much less likely than with a single-action station. Specifically, the SG-42SK1 family is built for high-traffic and industrial environments where casual contact would cause nuisance trips on a single-action station.
How the Protectowire SG-42SK1-1 Connects
This is a contact-closure pull station. Therefore, it works with most commercial fire alarm control panels as a conventional initiating device. Furthermore, it can interface to addressable systems through a separate monitor module. The reset operation uses a key, which restores the contacts after the station has been pulled.
