The Notifier PSE-6E is a 6-amp remote power supply with battery charger for fire alarm systems. Specifically, the “E” suffix designates the 240 VAC export variant. Furthermore, the PSE-6E pairs with any 12 or 24 VDC Notifier FACP. Alternatively, it operates as a standalone power supply.

What the Notifier PSE-6E delivers

The PSE-6E provides 24 VDC NAC and auxiliary power to remote notification appliances. Then the host FACP commands NAC activation through a control input. As a result, the panel offloads NAC current to the PSE-6E. Therefore, heavy NAC cable does not run back to the main supply. In addition, the PSE-6E charges its own backup batteries for standby.

Power input and output

The PSE-6E primary input is 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, 2.7 A maximum. Specifically, this is the export variant; the PSE-6 sibling uses 120 VAC. Furthermore, total continuous output is 6.0 A across all loads. Special application power per circuit reaches 3.0 A. Also, any one regulated 24 VDC AUX circuit reaches 1.0 A.

NAC configuration

The PSE-6E supports Class B or Class A NAC wiring. However, Class A requires the optional ZNAC-PS card. In addition, the supply handles multiple sync protocols for strobe synchronization.

Battery cabinet and charging

The PSE-6E cabinet holds two 7 AH or 18 AH batteries. Furthermore, an auxiliary battery cabinet supports charging up to 33 AH. As a result, the supply meets a wide range of standby battery sizing requirements.

AUX outputs

Auxiliary power outputs feed detectors, annunciators, door holders, and other 24 VDC peripherals. Also, AUX power is selectable as constant or resettable per circuit. Therefore, the PSE-6E integrates cleanly into mixed-load installations.
