The Edwards RA-ENC1 is the single-unit remote annunciator enclosure for the R-Series annunciator family. Specifically, it holds one RLCD, RLCD-C, RLED, or RLED-C remote annunciator module. First, the enclosure features a key-locked door with a plexiglass window. Then, the window provides clear, unobstructed visibility of the annunciator display.

This enclosure is part of the QuickStart-and-compatible R-Series annunciator system. In addition, the R-Series annunciators mount to a standard 4-inch square electrical box using the included mounting ring. Furthermore, the RA-ENC1 provides a tamper-resistant surface alternative where the box-mount is exposed to public traffic.

Compatibility Notes

The RA-ENC1 is not interchangeable with the EST3 wallboxes (RLCM/B, 4ANN/B, 6ANN/B, 10ANN/B). Specifically, the EST3 wallboxes mount the 3-LCDANN and 3-xANN family. Therefore, an RA-ENC1 will not house an EST3 command-module annunciator. In addition, the RKEY keyswitch accessory enables remote enable/disable of common-controls on the housed RLCD or RLED.

Specification Notes

The RA-ENC1 is a passive enclosure. As a result, it carries no standalone UL listing. Instead, agency compliance flows through the housed R-Series annunciator and its parent QS1 panel. Furthermore, dimensions beyond the 4-inch electrical-box footprint of the housed annunciator are not published in the QS1 datasheet.
