The Altronix RBSN is a sensitive DPDT relay module. It is selectable for 12VDC or 24VDC coil operation and pulls only 15 mA.
First, decide the coil voltage. The board ships factory-set for 12VDC. Then cut jumper J1 to switch the coil for 24VDC operation.
In addition, the low 15 mA coil draw makes the RBSN useful when a panel output cannot drive a heavier relay. For example, low-current aux outputs, telecom interfaces, and small bias circuits can switch the RBSN cleanly.

Application Notes
The RBSN is a board-level interface relay. It is not itself a UL-listed fire alarm device. Therefore, in a life-safety installation the host panel carries the agency listing. Furthermore, the installer must follow the host panel’s listed wiring instructions at the system level.
RBSN vs. RB1224 and RBSNTTL
Choose the RBSN when the trigger source cannot supply more than a few tens of milliamps. Alternatively, pick the RB1224 if 75 mA coil draw is acceptable and you need 5A contacts. For even lower trigger currents and TTL-level inputs, consider the RBSNTTL isolated-trigger model.
