The RSG SP-1-GCS is a single-pole RSG SP Series pull station factory-configured with gold contacts. Specifically, the GCS suffix specifies gold-plated contacts for low-current addressable circuits. Furthermore, the SP-1 base uses a normally-open toggle switch.
First, the user activates the toggle. Then, the gold-plated contacts make a low-resistance closure. As a result, the station performs reliably on small signal currents typical of addressable IDC circuits.
RSG SP-1-GCS Option Detail
The GCS (gold contacts) option suits low-current signaling, especially addressable panels. However, the option is not a high-amperage upgrade. Therefore, treat it as a reliability enhancement for small-signal circuits, not a power-handling upgrade.
