The RSG SP-2-KO is the double-pole SP Series pull station configured for key-operated activation. Specifically, the KO suffix replaces the standard pull motion with a keyed-cylinder activation. Furthermore, the SP-2 base uses a normally-open DPST toggle switch.
First, the operator inserts and turns the cylinder key on the front cover. Then, the key turn trips the dual-pole toggle inside the housing. As a result, only keyholding staff can initiate an alarm from this station.

The KO (key operated) suits institutional and high-security applications. Furthermore, it prevents nuisance activations in controlled-access settings. As a result, the configuration fits psychiatric units, detention facilities, and secure corridors.
