The Silent Knight SD505-DTS-K is a remote test switch and LED status module for SD505-DUCTR duct smoke detectors. First, it lets a technician test the duct detector from an accessible wall location. As a result, it removes the need to physically reach detectors mounted in ductwork or above ceilings.
In addition, the SD505-DTS-K provides remote LED status indication for the connected SD505-DUCTR. Specifically, the LED reports the alarm state of the duct detector. The unit also accepts the same key used to open the host fire alarm control panel.
Silent Knight SD505-DTS-K compatibility
The SD505-DTS-K pairs directly with the SD505-DUCTR analog duct smoke detector with relay module. Furthermore, it operates over the same SLC loop as the parent SD505-DUCTR. As a result, no separate field wiring run from the control panel is required at the test switch itself.
Typical installations include office buildings, schools, hospitals, and any commercial HVAC environment with duct-mounted smoke detectors. However, this module is purpose-built for the SD505 series. It is not a generic test switch for non-SD505 duct detectors.
