The Siemens MSM-K is a metal manual fire alarm station with a keyed reset. It gives building occupants a rugged, code-compliant way to trigger a fire alarm by hand. The MSM-K uses a single-action mechanism. As a result, one pull initiates the alarm signal.
This station features a die-cast metal housing for long service life. All surfaces are painted or plated to resist corrosion. In addition, the box has raised lettering for clear identification. Each MSM-K ships with two reset keys.
Siemens MSM-K reset and switching
The MSM-K resets with a key that matches the Siemens control panel. Therefore, only authorized staff can clear an activation. Inside, the station uses a single-pole, single-throw (SPST) switch rated at 10 amps at 120 VAC. All connections land on a terminal block.
By default, the MSM-K works with Siemens conventional fire alarm zones. However, it also works on addressable systems when paired with a Siemens TRI-series addressable module. As a result, the same station fits both conventional and addressable designs.
Listings and mounting
The MSM-K is UL and ULC Listed, plus CSFM and USCG approved. It mounts semi-flush to a single-gang box. Alternatively, an optional MSM-BOX surface backbox is available. Its low-profile design suits offices, schools, healthcare sites, and industrial spaces.
