The Simplex 4005-9808 module is the 8-Point I/O Card for the Simplex 4005 Fire Alarm Control Panel. Its internal Simplex part number is 565-554.
First, the card plugs into the 4005 panel to add input and output points. Then it lets the panel monitor or control additional field circuits beyond the panel’s base capacity. As a result, technicians can extend a 4005 install without swapping to a larger panel.
