The Simplex 4010-9912 is the panel-mounted serial digital alarm communicator transmitter, or SDACT. First, it reports panel events to a central station over the public phone network. In addition, the module uses serial communication directly with the host CPU. Therefore, the 4010-9912 sends detailed point-level information rather than generic zone codes.
Detailed Reporting to Central Station
The SDACT monitors panel status and central-station line condition. Specifically, it reports alarms, troubles, and supervisory events. As a result, the receiving operator dispatches the correct response from the start. Furthermore, the messages identify the panel, point, and event type when the panel supports point-level reporting.
Compatibility
The 4010-9912 works with Simplex 4007ES, 4010, 4010ES, 4100ES, and 4100U panels. However, point-level detail requires a panel that supports it. Also, custom programming aligns the SDACT to the central station receiver and account format.
Installation Footprint
The module mounts in Block D under the main system supply. Then, it occupies one block space inside the cabinet. In addition, the kit ships with two 14-foot 2080-9047 cables. Furthermore, each cable terminates with an RJ45 plug and spade lugs for field landing. Power draw runs 30 mA standby and 40 mA alarm.
