The Simplex 4098-9403 (catalog number 0677006) is a 200°F (93°C) fixed-temperature electronic heat detector for two-wire direct-connect conventional fire alarm circuits. The 4098-9403 uses a fast-response thermistor design that is inherently rate-compensated due to minimal thermal lag. Operating voltage is 15 to 32 VDC (filtered DC with 30% maximum ripple); standby current is 80 µA nominal; alarm current is up to 100 mA maximum, current-limited by the connected IDC. Humidity range is 10% to 95% RH (not rated for outdoor use). Storage temperature range is 0° to 140°F (–18°C to 60°C). Ambient operating range for the 200°F model is 32° to 150°F (0° to 66°C). UL maximum spacing is 60 ft × 60 ft. A mechanical adapter plate is supplied and wiring attaches directly to the detector terminals.
