The Simplex 4100-0155 is a panel-mounted Serial Digital Alarm Communicator Transmitter (SDACT). First, the option card seats inside a Simplex 4020, 4100, or 4120 fire alarm control panel. Then, it dials a central station and reports alarm, supervisory, and trouble events. As a result, the panel meets the central-station reporting requirement of NFPA 72.
Simplex 4100-0155 Compatibility
The 4100-0155 fits the Simplex 4020, 4100, and 4120 panels only. Specifically, the card does not fit the 4100U or 4100ES. In addition, those newer panels use a different SDACT generation. Therefore, confirm the host platform before specifying.
Communications Features
The SDACT operates two telephone lines for primary and backup reporting. Furthermore, it supports line seizure, pulse dialing, and tone dialing. Also, the card monitors both lines for fault. As a result, line trouble reports back to the panel for annunciation.
Reporting Formats
The card transmits in industry standard formats including SIA and Contact ID. In addition, the card can report event-level detail per point. Then, the central station decodes each event with its point address. Therefore, responders see exactly what initiated the alarm.
