The Simplex 566-252 is a power supply board for the Simplex 4005 fire alarm control panel. It is sold reconditioned with a one-year warranty.
What the 566-252 Does
First, the 566-252 provides regulated DC power to the 4005 panel’s main electronics and onboard notification appliance circuits. Then, it manages charging of the connected backup batteries. As a result, the panel runs on AC normally and falls over to battery during an AC loss.
Platform Compatibility
The 566-252 is specifically a Simplex 4005 panel sub-assembly. However, it is not a generic fire alarm power supply — do not attempt to use it in other Simplex platforms such as the 4007ES, 4010, 4100, or 4100ES. Therefore, confirm the host panel is a 4005 before ordering.
Condition
This 566-252 is reconditioned, with a one-year warranty from Life Safety Consultants. In addition, the listing markings carry over from the original assembly under the 4005 panel’s UL 864 envelope. Verify the part marking on receipt before installation.
Typical Use
Order the 566-252 when an existing 4005 panel’s power supply has failed, when AC trouble is present without a verified utility fault, or as planned-maintenance stock for facilities running legacy 4005 systems.
