The Simplex TRUESTART2 is a handheld test instrument for fire alarm installers. First, it checks IDNet and IDNAC wiring before the panel is connected. As a result, technicians catch problems early in the install.
What the Simplex TRUESTART2 tests
This second-generation tool scans hundreds of addressable devices quickly. Specifically, it flags ground faults, shorted wiring, and duplicate or incorrect addresses. In addition, it tests Simplex NACs and IDCs. It also verifies IDNAC SLC wiring and TrueAlert ES appliances.
Why technicians use it
The instrument is portable and battery operated. Therefore, it works anywhere on the job site. Furthermore, it confirms that devices operate correctly before connection to the 4100 control panel. As a result, commissioning moves faster.
