The STI STI-9605 is a Steel Web Stopper® for mini smoke detectors in surface-mount installations. This UL Listed wire guard prevents misuse, tampering, and accidental damage. However, smoke still reaches the detector freely through the open web.
STI based the patented design (D368,670) on a spider’s web. Specifically, a web-like octagon of 9-gauge steel wire makes the cage extremely difficult to break. In addition, a corrosion-resistant polyester coating protects the steel.

Dimensions are 7.125 in H x 7.125 in W x 4.5 in D. Also, the guard removes simply for routine detector servicing.
Related Models and Accessories
For flush-mounted mini detectors, choose the STI-9604 instead. Alternatively, the STI-9605-SS offers uncoated 304 stainless steel. Optional KIT-82 tamper-resistant screws and the KIT-19038 spanner bit are available.
