The STI STI-9730 is a large steel wire cube cage. First, it protects oversized devices from theft, vandalism, and accidental damage. Specifically, it suits CCTV cameras, exit signs, emergency lighting heads, speakers, and similar wall- or ceiling-mounted equipment. In addition, the open wire pattern preserves camera fields of view and speaker output. Therefore, the protected device keeps working as designed.
STI STI-9730 construction
First, the cage is built from 9-gauge steel wire. Then, the wire is coated with corrosion-resistant white polyester. Specifically, the unit measures 12 in. H x 12 in. W x 12 in. D. As a result, it accommodates larger device footprints. Also, the cage may be spray-painted once prior to installation to match wall or ceiling color.
Installation
First, mounting clamps and hardware ship with the cage. Then, the installer anchors the frame to the wall or ceiling. Next, the cage hinges into place around the protected device. Finally, the device remains operable without removing the guard. Furthermore, the installation hardware suits both drywall and masonry surfaces.
STI backs the cage for three years against breakage in normal use.
