Siemens ALD-2I Analog Loop Driver

The Siemens ALD-2I is an analog loop driver card that serves as the interface between the fire alarm panel's central processing unit and the addressable detector loop. The ALD-2I provides the signaling, power, and communication protocol necessary to drive a full Siemens analog addressable detection loop, enabling the panel to poll, identify, and communicate with every detector and module on the loop.

Without a functioning loop driver, the panel cannot communicate with any addressable device on that loop. The ALD-2I is therefore a critical board-level component for system reliability and is a genuine Siemens replacement card for MXL, MXLV, and FireFinder XLS systems. It supports two-wire class B or four-wire class A loop wiring configurations depending on system setup.
