The Edwards G4TW is a white trim plate for Genesis LED G4 Series and G4S Series wall-mount appliances. First, it covers oversized electrical box openings that exceed the appliance footprint. As a result, the installation looks finished even when the box is larger than the device.
The Edwards G4TW is a passive accessory. Specifically, it has no electrical components and no agency listings — those flow from the parent appliance. Therefore, do not specify the G4TW as a standalone code-compliant device.
Application
Use the G4TW with white-finish G4 or G4S appliances mounted to two-gang, 4-inch square, or 4-inch octagonal electrical boxes. Furthermore, the trim plate is NOT required for standard 1-gang installations — the appliance covers a 1-gang box on its own. As a result, only specify trim plates where the existing box is oversized for the device.
Dimensions
The G4TW measures approximately 5.6 inches wide by 7.5 inches high by 0.3 inch deep. Then ship weight is 0.15 lb. Also, the white color matches Genesis Series white appliances without paint touch-up. The red counterpart is the G4TR.
Material
The trim plate is color-impregnated engineered plastic with a textured finish. Therefore, the white color is integral to the material, not paint. As a result, the finish resists chipping and UV fade. The matching mounting hardware ships with the parent appliance, not the trim plate.
Ordering Note
Order one trim plate per appliance that needs one. Furthermore, the same G4TW fits all G4 and G4S series white-finish appliances. However, for red-finish appliances, order the G4TR red trim plate instead. Finally, the trim plate is not a wiring plate — the GP10 (G4 horns/strobes) or GRSW (G4S speakers) wiring plate is still required.
