The Simplex 4098-9402 is a TrueAlarm multi-criteria sensor head combining photoelectric smoke sensing with a fixed-temperature heat element. First, the photoelectric chamber detects visible particles of combustion. In addition, the heat element provides a secondary criterion via fixed-temperature thermal detection. As a result, the head delivers smoke-plus-heat decision logic at a single addressable point.
Where the Simplex 4098-9402 fits
This sensor head installs into a compatible TrueAlarm sensor base on a Simplex IDNet loop. Therefore, panel programming determines the final alarm threshold using both photo and heat inputs. However, the head itself is not interchangeable with conventional 4-wire or other-manufacturer addressable systems.
