The Genesis 21045501 is a 22 AWG, 4-conductor stranded riser communications cable from Southwire’s Genesis® line. It carries the Type CMR riser rating. As a result, this cable suits security, access control, intercom, audio, and other low-voltage Class 2/3 circuits. It is NOT FPLR fire alarm rated. The cable ships in a 500-foot pull box with a white PVC jacket.

Installation Notes
First, the CMR rating allows installation in vertical risers per NEC Article 800. Then, the stranded construction provides flexibility for tight pulls and frequent terminations. However, this cable is NOT FPLR fire alarm rated. Therefore, do not specify it on fire alarm circuits. As a result, installers needing fire alarm cable should choose a Genesis 43xxx FPLR cable instead.
