The Simplex 4100-6031 city module reports alarm, trouble, and supervisory signals to a remote monitoring facility. In addition, it includes two disconnect switches. Therefore, technicians can test the panel without sending signals to the central station.
How the Simplex 4100-6031 City Module Works
The card provides two city circuits. Each circuit is configurable for alarm, trouble, or supervisory reporting. Switch SW1 controls City Circuit 1, and SW2 controls City Circuit 2.
Turn a switch ON for normal operation. Alternatively, turn it OFF to test the system silently. As a result, no alarm reaches the city during testing.
The module also protects against CPU failure. Specifically, a card set for trouble output sends a trouble signal to the city if the CPU fails.
Compatibility
This card draws power from the panel at 20 to 32 VDC. Note that it works with the SPS power supply only, not the RPS. First, confirm your power-supply type before ordering.
