The System Sensor BEAMHKR is a reflector heater kit for the BEAM1224 and BEAM1224S reflected-beam smoke detectors. It prevents condensation from forming on the reflector face.
Specifically, the BEAMHKR keeps the reflector surface slightly warmer than ambient air. As a result, water vapor cannot condense on the reflective coating. Therefore, the detector beam stays unobstructed in cold or humid spaces. Furthermore, accurate optical alignment depends on a clean, dry reflector — the heater protects that.

Where the BEAMHKR Goes
Mount the heater behind the reflector inside the same enclosure. Then connect to a separate 24V auxiliary supply — not to the detector’s signaling loop. For example, parking structures, refrigerated warehouses, and unconditioned attics are common deployment cases. However, the heater is not a substitute for proper detector placement.
