The Macurco CD6-FCK is a field calibration kit for fixed CO2 detectors. Specifically, it services Macurco CD-6MC, CD-12MC, CD-6H, and CD-12H heads. Therefore, technicians can verify and re-zero sensors on site.
First, the kit ships with two calibration cylinders. Then, it includes the regulator, tubing, hood, and case for portable use. As a result, a single kit completes roughly 30 to 40 calibrations before refill.
Macurco CD6-FCK kit contents
- One 17 L cylinder, 400 ppm CO2 (zero / span low)
- One 17 L cylinder, 5,000 ppm CO2 (span high)
- Fixed-flow (F) regulator
- 3 ft tubing
- Calibration hood
- Carrying case
Field calibration workflow
First, attach the regulator to the appropriate cylinder. Then, route tubing to the calibration hood at the sensor face. Next, follow the head’s calibration menu for zero and span. Finally, log readings and replace cylinders as pressure drops.
Operating and service notes
- Operating temperature: 32°F to 122°F
- Cylinders are non-refillable; recycle when depleted
- Recommended calibration interval: annually, or per facility procedure
In addition, the CD6-FCK is a service tool. Therefore, it carries no UL or NFPA listing of its own. Furthermore, the cylinders are sold separately as CO2 400 PPM and CO2 5% VOL (the 5,000 ppm cylinder ships within the kit).
