System Sensor COSMOD4W i4 Series Interface Module — 4-Wire
The System Sensor COSMOD4W is a 4-wire interface module for the i4 Series detector line. First, it connects i4 Series combination carbon monoxide and photoelectric smoke detectors to a compatible fire or security panel. As a result, one detector line reports to the panel through standard zones.
How the System Sensor COSMOD4W works
The module separates detector signals into a distinct smoke zone and a distinct carbon monoxide zone. In addition, it can provide an optional trouble zone. Therefore, the panel sees clear, separate alarm and trouble conditions. Furthermore, the COSMOD4W supports up to 12 interconnected i4 Series or compatible i3 Series detectors.
Connected detectors sound together when one alarms. Specifically, the module drives Temporal 3 for smoke alarms and Temporal 4 for carbon monoxide alarms. Consequently, occupants hear the correct signal for each hazard. This conventional design suits homes, apartments, and small commercial buildings.
