The Edwards EST SIGA-PS is an intelligent addressable photoelectric smoke detector engineered for the Signature Series fire alarm platform. Operating on the Signature Loop Controller (SLC), the SIGA-PS delivers continuous device-level communication with compatible Edwards fire alarm control panels, enabling real-time sensitivity monitoring, automatic drift compensation, and precise alarm verification.
The photoelectric sensing technology in the SIGA-PS is optimized for detecting slow-smoldering fires that produce large combustion particles — the type most commonly found in occupied spaces such as offices, healthcare facilities, hotels, and schools. The SIGA-PS mounts on all standard Signature Series bases including the SIGA-SB, SIGA-IB, and SIGA-SB4, and is a direct upgrade path from the legacy 2251FB detector.
