The Gamewell ATD-L3 is an intelligent addressable thermal detector in the Velociti Series 3 family. Specifically, it provides 135°F (57°C) fixed-temperature heat detection in a bright-white housing. As a result, it suits indoor commercial spaces with normal ambient temperatures. In addition, the ATD-L3 uses the Velociti communication protocol on the SLC loop.
Gamewell ATD-L3 addressing and indication
The detector takes its point ID from rotary address switches set 01 to 159. Also, dual LEDs provide 360-degree visibility for status from any angle. Furthermore, a built-in functional test switch activates with an external test magnet. Therefore, technicians can functionally test the detector without exposing it to heat.
Compatibility
Use the ATD-L3 on Gamewell-FCI E3 Series, S3 Series, and 7075 Series addressable fire alarm control panels. However, the ATD-L3 supports the Velociti protocol only. For panels still running the legacy CLIP protocol, the dual-protocol variant should be specified instead. As a result, confirm the panel’s loop protocol before ordering.
What the ATD-L3 is not
The ATD-L3 is a fixed-temperature only detector. For rate-of-rise sensing, specify the ATD-L3R instead. Therefore, choose the L3 where rapid stove-style heat rise is not the design hazard.
