Siemens (HCP) Intelligent control point (part# 500-034860)

The Siemens HCP Intelligent Control Point (part# 500-034860) is an addressable control module — not a pull station. Specifically, it provides remote, independent control of a notification appliance circuit (NAC). On FireFinder XLS systems, it can also control a telephone zone or a speaker zone. Speaker zones may run at 25V or 70.7V RMS.

The HCP communicates over the addressable device loop. On FireFinder XLS, it connects through the DLC device loop card. On the FS-250, it connects through the FS-DLC loop card. In addition, it works with Desigo FC2025/2050 and FV2025/2050 panels via the FCI2016 periphery board. Furthermore, Cerberus PRO FC922/924 and FV922/924 panels support it through the FCI2017 periphery board. Each Siemens HCP takes one device address on the loop.

Programming the Siemens HCP

First, technicians set the device address with the DPU Programmer/Tester. The HCP accepts addresses 1 through 60 only. Then, custom messages are assigned through the Zeus Programming Tool on XLS systems. Alternatively, the FS-CT2 tool handles programming on FS-250 systems.
