The Farenhyt IDP-HEAT-HT-W is an intelligent addressable high-temperature heat detector from Silent Knight. Specifically, it provides variable high-temperature detection in a 135°F to 190°F (57°C to 88°C) range.
First, the detector is plugged into a separate base and given an SLC address via rotary decimal switches. Then it monitors heat using thermistor-based thermal sensing. As a result, the host panel sees a fast, point-identified alarm when the threshold is crossed.
Farenhyt IDP-HEAT-HT-W Key Features
- Intelligent addressable variable high-temperature heat detector, 135°F–190°F (57°C–88°C)
- FlashScan or CLIP protocol with rotary decimal addressing
- 360° visibility from two bi-color LEDs (green = normal, red = alarm)
- White housing
- Plug-in design — mounts on standard 4" or 6" bases, isolator base, relay base, or temporal sounder base
Where the IDP-HEAT-HT-W Is Used
Typically, the high-temp variant is installed where ambient temperatures run hot. For example, attics, mechanical rooms, kitchens, and parking decks all benefit from the elevated alarm threshold. As a result, nuisance alarms from normal ambient heat are avoided.
Furthermore, the detector is compatible with Silent Knight IFP-series intelligent fire alarm panels. Therefore, it is the right choice on IFP-2000, IFP-1000, IFP-100, and IFP-50 systems.
