The Kidde GSA-MCC1 is a single-input signal module for the Signature loop in a UIO plug-in form factor. First, it provides one supervised signal-circuit output. Then, field wiring terminates to the Universal Input/Output motherboard, not the module itself.
In addition, the GSA-MCC1 sources power from a separate signal riser. As a result, the module switches a 24 VDC notification circuit or a 25/70 V audio evacuation circuit. Specifically, the personality code at commissioning selects the function.
How the Kidde GSA-MCC1 Works
The GSA-MCC1 plugs into a UIO base. Then, multiple UIO modules share the same motherboard, simplifying the field wiring. Finally, the loop controller addresses the module like any other Signature point.
Furthermore, the UIO mount means the module can be swapped without re-pulling wires. As a result, service is faster and less error-prone. Also, supervisory monitoring continues whether the circuit is idle or active.
Typical Applications
- Notification appliance circuit (NAC) for horns or strobes
- Audio evacuation speaker circuit at 25 V or 70 V
- Class A or Class B signal riser break-out in a UIO enclosure
- Signal-circuit modules grouped in a single mechanical assembly
Key Features
- Single signal-circuit output on the Signature loop
