The Gamewell MBB-6 back box is a 6-unit cabinet that houses up to six Multi-Mod modules. First, you mount the MBB-6 to the wall. Then, install the MCH-6 chassis inside. Finally, plug in the modules.
In addition, the MBB-6 is sold without the chassis. As a result, the MCH-6 mounting chassis must be ordered separately.
Gamewell MBB-6 Back Box Dimensions
The enclosure measures roughly 30 inches high by 20 inches wide by 11 inches deep. Also, it weighs about 26 pounds empty. Therefore, plan wall space and fasteners accordingly.
What Goes Inside
First, the MCH-6 mounting chassis bolts inside the MBB-6. Then, up to six Gamewell-FCI Multi-Mod modules slide into the chassis slots. As a result, multiple zone, signal, or relay functions can be consolidated into one enclosure.
Specifically, this is a signal-module cabinet — not a smoke-detector back box. Therefore, do not confuse the MBB-6 with the standard detector base boxes.
