The Notifier 4XTM transmitter module is a plug-in option for compatible Notifier fire alarm panels. First, it provides a supervised output for a local energy municipal box. In addition, the module offers alarm and trouble reverse-polarity circuits for remote station service.
As a result, installers can meet two distinct NFPA 72 off-premises reporting requirements with one module. Furthermore, a disable switch and a disable-trouble LED are built into the module. A jumper option also lets the reverse-polarity circuit open on a system trouble when no alarm is present.
Notifier 4XTM transmitter module reporting circuits
First, the local energy municipal box circuit supports NFPA 72 Auxiliary Protective Signaling. Specifically, supervisory current is 5.0 mA and trip current is 0.35 A. Also, coil voltage is 3.65 VDC across a 14.6 Ω coil resistance.
Total wire resistance between the module and trip coil must stay under 3 Ω. In addition, the reverse-polarity circuits support NFPA 72 Remote Station Protective Signaling. Each circuit accepts a maximum 10 mA load. Furthermore, the reverse-polarity output is 24 VDC.
Listings and physical size
The module is listed under Notifier as follows. First, UL listing is S635. In addition, ULC listings are CS118 and CS733. Also, the module is Factory Mutual approved, MEA 104-93-E Vol. VI, and CSFM 7165-0028:245.
Physically, the 4XTM measures 4 in. by 2.5 in. (102 mm × 64 mm). As a result, it fits inside the host panel cabinet without external mounting hardware.
