How the FSP-851 Detects Smoke
The detector uses light-scattering photoelectric technology. This technology catches the slow-smoldering fires most common in commercial occupancies. Specifically, it detects the large combustion particles that appear before flames ignite.
Furthermore, the FSP-851 communicates continuously with the host panel over Notifier’s FlashScan protocol. As a result, you get real-time device status. In addition, the panel can run automatic device testing and diagnostics on every detector.
Drop-In Replacement for Existing Notifier Bases
Are you replacing an aging detector? Or expanding an existing installation? Either way, the FSP-851 is a direct plug-in replacement for most standard Notifier bases. Specifically, it fits the B501, B210LP, and B501BH. Therefore, upgrades are fast and cost-effective.
