The Notifier XP6-MA is a six-zone interface module. It connects two-wire conventional detection zones to an intelligent Notifier panel. Therefore, it brings conventional detectors into an addressable system.
Each XP6-MA monitors a zone of two-wire detectors. As a result, the panel reads each zone as normal, open, or alarm. In addition, the module supervises both the zone wiring and the external power connection.
How the Notifier XP6-MA Addresses
The module uses one address for the first zone. Then it automatically assigns the next five higher addresses. As a result, one module reports six zones to the panel.
All monitored detectors must be two-wire compatibility-listed with the module. Therefore, confirm detector compatibility before installation. This step protects reliable alarm reporting.
