The Protectowire PWSC is a two-point splicing connector used to join digital (PHSC) two-conductor linear heat detector (LHD) cable. Connectors are sold in 10-packs.
First, the technician strips each conductor end. Then the conductors are crimped or clamped into the PWSC’s two splice points. As a result, the spliced run carries the LHD signal continuously through the connector.
In addition, Protectowire recommends applying SFTS sealant to the completed splice. Furthermore, the PWSC is the correct splicing hardware for PHSC two-conductor cable specifically — not for the analog (EPC) cable family.
