Mircom RAX-1048TZDS 48-Zone Adder Annunciator Chassis
The Mircom RAX-1048TZDS is a 48-zone adder annunciator for the Mircom RA-1000 series remote multiplex annunciator system. First, it adds 48 programmable bi-colored alarm/supervisory LEDs. In addition, it adds 48 dedicated zone trouble LEDs. As a result, large facilities gain detailed remote visibility of every protected zone.
The module connects via one ribbon cable to a RAM-1032TZDS main annunciator. Alternatively, it can chain to a previous RAX-1048TZDS adder. Specifically, up to four RAX-1048TZDS chassis can connect to a single RAM-1032TZDS. Therefore one main panel can drive up to 224 annunciated points total.
Mircom RAX-1048TZDS power specs
Normal operating voltage is 20 to 39 VDC. Standby current draw is 22 mA. However, with all 96 LEDs on (the alarm-everything condition), current climbs to 262 mA. Furthermore, integrators should account for the worst-case load when sizing the riser power supply.
Labeling and enclosure
Each display point is identified by a slide-in label that sits beside the LED. Also, the labels can be field-updated as zones are added or relocated. The RAX-1048TZDS mounts in BB-1000 Series enclosures, or in the BB-5008 or BB-5014 deeper enclosures. The chassis occupies one display position in the host enclosure.
