The Siemens EL-320 is an end-of-line (EOL) device with an integrated diode for solenoid releasing circuits. First, it terminates the circuit at its final device. Then it lets the fire alarm panel supervise the wiring for faults. As a result, a break or short is detected quickly.

Releasing circuits drive solenoids and actuators in suppression systems. Therefore, supervision of that wiring is critical. Specifically, the diode blocks reverse current while supervisory current flows. In addition, this keeps the releasing output monitored without false actuation.

Where the Siemens EL-320 Is Used

You install the EL-320 at the end of a solenoid releasing circuit. Also, it pairs with compatible Siemens fire alarm panels and releasing modules. Finally, always wire and place it per the panel’s installation instructions and NFPA requirements.
