The Silent Knight 058950RPS is the replacement printed circuit board for the RPS-1000 remote power supply. Specifically, it ships as the board only, without the enclosure. As a result, a technician can rebuild an existing RPS-1000 without replacing the whole unit.
What the RPS-1000 does
The RPS-1000 is an intelligent remote power supply for addressable fire alarm systems. First, it adds dedicated power for notification appliances and auxiliary loads. Then it expands capacity without overloading the main panel.
Specifically, the RPS-1000 delivers 6.0 amps of total output. In addition, it provides two 3.0 amp outputs. Furthermore, it adds six Flexput I/O circuits and two Form C relays rated 2.5 A at 24 VDC.
The unit connects over the RS-485 system bus. Therefore, it can sit up to 6,000 feet from the panel.
Ordering note
The 058950RPS is the board only. Therefore, the existing RPS-1000 enclosure, transformer, and battery must be reused. However, if the enclosure is damaged, order the complete RPS-1000 assembly instead.
